Marine rotating beacon IRB 6300 PU


The Marine Rotating Beacon is an efficient water and airtight navigation beacon of high luminous intensity. The energy required is from a DC voltage source. Its robust design, low weight and the very high candlepower output are the special features of this rotating beacon.

Marine rotating beacon IRB 6300PUThe housing is made of polyurethane and a acrylic glass cover mounted on the base protectionclass is IP 67 The rotary beacon has an inner mechanism that includes a six-panel drum containing the optical elements to form a hexagon, the optical system consists of six lens panels equispaced at 60 degrees. Thus six uniformly spaced flashes are normally seen per revolution. The panels are appr. 100mm wide and 300 mm high. Each panel contains both dioptric and catadioptric elements injection-moulded in a single piece. The available light flux is highly efficient. As an option a 8 lens carousel is available. The beam candle-power per watt of electrical input is very high making it an ideal signal where solar powered energy is required. The basic lens arrangement projects six regularly spaced flashes per revolution. There can be realised variations in flash sequence by removing certain lens panels. It is equally easy to realize coloured flashes by choosing the proper coloured acrylic glass cover. Those glass covers are available in red, green, clear and amber.

The lampchanger can be fitted with six pre-focused marine lamps . After the lamp reserve is used up, the lampchanger will be cut-off automatically. The rotating speed of the drive motor is infinitely variable and can be set to cover three different ranges depending on which character is desired. In the beacon's base are the control electronics for drive speed, the lampchanger, the daylight switch and the voltage stabilizer located. The circuitries are realized in the most modern microcontroller technique. A light sensor, based in the lantern's base, controlls daylight switching. The built-in voltage regulator stabilize lampvoltage. The current consumption of the control electronics is very low.
