Self contained solar powered led beacon type IML50
This cost effective 1/2 mile led beacon is a versatile compact, selfcontained solar powered beacon of small dimensions. Available in red, green, amber, and white colour.
Colour chromaticity of the emitted light meets IALA specifications.
The lightsource is formed through horizontally placed LED's of high intensity
giving an range of max 2 nautical miles.
Electronics include: a charge regulator functions. With the optional infrared remote control
any of the 256 preprogrammed IALA flash codes and daylight sensor can be field
programmed.
Electrical parameters as battery voltage, and day/night switching point can be read.
The beacon is designed and constructed to operate without servicing or maintenance for up
to 5 years.

The electrical system is equipped with a 5, 10 or 15Amph. battery. The battery is placed within the housing and is charged by 1 integrated 1.8 watt solar generator.
Charge characteristics in dark weather conditions are superb and due to the well dimensioned batterypack this beacon is specially suited for regions with low sun irradiations.
In regards to conventional lanterns, the advantages are especially the large vertical divergence, the intensity of the emitted light, the long life expectancy of the LED, and the very high reliability .
The maximum range of this beacon is 2 nautical mile at T = 0,74.
Weight of this selfcontained solar powered beacon with a 15Amph. storage battery is 1 kilogram.
