SELF CONTAINED SOLAR POWERED LED BEACON TYPE SPB200 5 NMThe solar powered beacon SPB200 type is a compact, easily maintained beacon of small dimensions with a high measure to resist vandalism. The cabinet is cast in stainless steel AISI 316 of 1,5 mm thickness, and the surface is treated against corrosion, the shape is a part-cylinder, with the backside provided with a screwed on door with thief resistant bolts. | |

The battery-rack is part of the housing and supplies a good deal of rigidity of the solar powered beacon.
The navigation lantern is placed on the upperside of the solar powered beacon and mounted once again with thief resistant bolts.
The bottom of the solar powered beacon is provided with 4 mounting holes to enable easy mounting of the beacon on the lightfixture. Holes in the bottom allow ventilation of the batteries. It is also possible to mount the solar powered beacon with a flange on a tubepost. As an option, the solar powered beacon can be made with a solid back panel and closable hinged door. |
| The electrical system consists of 2 bonded-on flexible solargenerators with a combined maximum output of 64 watt peak. These special solargenerators are excellent in resisting vandalism. charge characteristics in dark weather conditions is about 20% higher than crystalline solar generators and therefore specially suited for northern regions. The battery pack has a capacity for maximum 4 pieces batteries, 12 volt 115 amph requiring a minimum of maintenance. The batteries are directly connected via 10mm2 cables. Connections between the solargenerators and navigation lantern is via the in the upperside mounted cabinet with fused terminals. The maximum range of the beacon is more then 5 NM with fixed character. Weight of the complete solar powered beacon is about 150 kilograms. The focal plane of the navigation lantern is about 1600 mm. |
